Philip Roth

Born in Newark, New Jersey, the writer founded the magazine "The Other Voice" and published his first short story while studying at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania in 1951. In 1959, he created the short story collection "Goodbye, Columbus" and was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature. In 1960, he taught at Princeton University, and in 1970, he was elected as a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
